You can lie down on the couch or bed and close your eyes. Doing this for 15 minutes will take away the feeling of tiredness. If you are way too tired, consider taking a short nap.

To feel energised after a long day, take a quick shower after coming home, if you don’t like to spend a long time bathing. Taking a quick hot shower will help relax your sore muscles and you will feel refreshed and energised.

If you own a bathtub, light up some aromatic candles, run a little hot water, get in and lie down till you feel comfortable. To make that soreness go away, add in some Epsom salt to your bathtub as they relieve pain and muscle cramps. You can also use bath bombs to lighten up your mood and have a colourful bath. Just make sure that you have a couple of warm towels ready on the towel radiator after a bath.

A problem shared is a problem halved. As a human being, a part of our well being is being able to have a connection. If the day was too exhausting or there is something that bothers you a lot, talk about it to a family member or a friend. Sharing your problems doesn’t makes you weak; instead, it shows that you are strong enough to talk about it.

By talking about your problems with your loved ones you might get a solution that you might not have thought about before. If you don’t get a solution, you at least get the courage to fight your way through it. It doesn’t matter whether the issue you are facing is work-related or personal, talking about it to a friend or loved one will help you beat the stress.

If there is any activity that helps you take your mind off the stress, do it without feeling ashamed or guilty. Doing such activities will help energise your body and make you feel refreshed.

After a long day, you end up reviewing your day and get lost in stress-inducing thoughts. To de-clutter your mind of these thoughts, get a journal and write down about the things that you are thankful for. Look for the positive things that are happening in your life when you are feeling low. These may not always be big and they don’t necessarily have to be, as even small things can give you a lot of joy.

Expressing gratitude makes you feel positive and practicing this daily will help you feel good even after a long day. Doing so will help you leave stress behind and as a result, you will start living in the moment and appreciate all the good things in life!
